I'm building my house in the remote mountains of northern Trinity County, California. (My third try, maybe i'll get it right this time.) In Fiji, each home had a name; this one: "Comf'tably Numb", what i hope to become. But first, plenty work to do.

Rafters: More Blocking
This is the blocking at one end of the ridge beam, and the mount for the end rafter.
This is going slow because each 2x12 is 20' long, and placing them is precarious. These first 2 are far apart so that i can get them properly squared before doing the rest. (The funny vertical things at the beam ends are to keep the rafter from falling to its death during placement.)
